Former president Bill Clinton is a good example of the benefits of veganism. Clinton, who had a long history of heart disease, and who was notorious for his addiction to junk food, decided to make a big change in his life: he became a vegan. It is easy to appreciate the physical changes in the ex-president; he looks younger and healthier. Not only his eating habits have changed but also he has more energy; he said that his latest medical reports seem satisfactory.
"All my blood tests are good, and my vital
signs are good, and I feel good, and I also have, believe it or not, more
energy," Clinton said in an interview with CNN. In the same interview he
expressed that his latest goal was “getting his weight down to 185, what he
weighed when he was 13 years old”. Clinton also created a Foundation that is
encouraging more exercise in schools. The Foundation also promoted to change
the schools’ lunches by offering healthy options. The former president is
concern that “today’s children will not face the same heart troubles he has”.
I think that his example, in regards of veganism, is inspirational for many
Americans and for many people around the world.
